Cookies

Internet pages often use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser; they do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses, but serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies", which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Our server automatically saves information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

- Browser type and browser version

- Operating system used

- Referrer URL

- Host name of the accessing computer

This data is not merged with other data sources.

Functional cookies - always active

These cookies are necessary for basic functions and are therefore stored automatically when you visit our websites. These cookies save your preferences when you use our websites. They are also used to distribute the utilisation of our servers in order to keep our website available, as well as for security purposes. No consent is required for the use of functional cookies, which enable the basic functions of the website.

Analysis cookies - inactive (only active with consent)

These cookies are used to collect data about the way visitors use our website. This includes information on the most frequently visited pages and the number of error messages displayed. We use analytics cookies to compile usage statistics for our websites. These cookies help us to improve the websites. We use Google Analytics to compile summarised statistics on the visits to our websites. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for this purpose. The data collected by Google Analytics is shared with other Google services.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the controller responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the data processing of Google Analytics is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as "Google".

The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. If you have a Google user account, you can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your use in the settings there under "My data", "Personal data".

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Please note that the code "_anonymizeIp();" has been added to Google Analytics on this website to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses. This means that IP addresses are processed in abbreviated form so that they cannot be linked to a specific person. If the data collected about you can be assigned to a person, this is immediately ruled out and the personal data is deleted immediately.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: Deactivate Google Analytics.

You can also prevent the use of Google Analytics by clicking on this link: Deactivate Google Analytics. This will store an opt-out cookie on your data carrier, which prevents the processing of personal data by Google Analytics. Please note that if you delete all cookies on your end device, these opt-out cookies will also be deleted, i.e. you must set the opt-out cookies again if you wish to continue to prevent this form of data collection. The opt-out cookies are set per browser and computer/end device and must therefore be activated separately for each browser, computer or other end device.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts from Google for the standardised display of fonts. These are stored locally, so there is no data exchange.

Requirements regarding storage, erasure and destruction

All personal data collected by us is anonymised or deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of processing.

Recipients of the personal data

Your personal data will only be disclosed by us in Switzerland within the Swiss Building Simulation Association. External services such as Google only receive personal data with the consent of the person concerned.

Measures to ensure data security

The Swiss Building Simulation Association ensures that the confidentiality of personal data is guaranteed by means of access and user controls.

Furthermore, the integrity of personal data is ensured by checking the data carriers, storage and transport. Data can also be restored quickly in the event of a technical or physical incident. Our systems and application programmes are up to date with the latest security standards and all known critical gaps - OWASP Top 10 - have been closed.

As far as traceability is concerned, these are documented via input and disclosure logs, data security breaches are recognised and the resulting consequences are mitigated and/or eliminated.

Obligation to report data breaches

All breaches of data security that result in a high risk to the personality or fundamental rights of the data subject are reported by us to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Have you discovered a breach of data security? Please contact us immediately at david.akeret@gebaeudesimulation.ch.

Rights of the data subjects
